When does the plan start?
Your plan does not start when you pay. The usage period begins the first time you use mobile data in Korea.
Example: buy a 5-day plan on June 1 and first use data at 10:00 AM on June 4 — your plan runs until 10:00 AM on June 9.

Before you purchase
- Check that your phone supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked before buying — dial *#06# to look for an EID number, or check Settings (iPhone: General › About; Android: SIM manager).
- Most recent iPhone and Samsung Galaxy models support eSIM.
- Some regional models may not support eSIM.
- If your phone is locked by your mobile carrier, the eSIM may not work.

How to receive and activate
Pick up at the airport
You must start using the eSIM within 60 days of purchase. The plan period begins from your first data use, not the purchase date.
Phone compatibility
Your phone needs to be country-unlocked and eSIM-capable. Most iPhone XS and newer, Pixel 3 and newer, and Galaxy S20 and newer are supported.
Data-only Korean number
Online-purchased eSIMs are data-only and come with a Korean number starting with 012. Voice-capable eSIMs (010 numbers) are available at LG U+ airport counters only.
Where to pick up
Bring the passport you used for the order plus your confirmation email. Return your SIM at the same airport before passing through security.

Removing your eSIM after the trip
- iPhone: Settings → Cellular or Mobile Data → Select the HWAY eSIM → Remove eSIM / Delete eSIM at the bottom.
- Android: Settings → Connections → SIM card manager → Select the HWAY SIM → Delete.
Once deleted, an eSIM cannot be restored. Only delete it after your trip is over.

Important details
- Truly unlimited 5G/LTE data with no speed cap or daily limit.
- Both eSIM and USIM require a country-unlocked phone. Check your handset's lock status with its manufacturer's customer center.
- LG U+ SIMs do not support Korean Identity Verification (PASS / 휴대폰 본인 인증).
- Your usage period starts the moment you first connect to data. You have 60 days from purchase to start using your eSIM.
- A data eSIM cannot be reissued once installed, and is non-refundable once its QR code has been issued.
- Voice-capable eSIM (010 number) is only sold at LG U+ airport counters, not online. Online eSIMs are data-only with a 012 Korean number.
- Passport information and a passport photo are required when ordering. Other ID types may have authentication restrictions.
- Cancellation refunds are returned to your card within 15 days, per your card issuer's processing time.
